Shiraku Tōsai is a Neo-Ukiyoe project that re-carves fleeting moments of modern Japan in the style of Edo woodblock prints.

The Last Kiss captures a man in custody stealing one final kiss before being led away. Amid the modern signifiers — handcuffs, a tactical vest — a kabuki-faced man and a bijin-ga woman share an emotion older than any era. Bold key-block outlines and a flat mineral-pigment palette hold the moment where law and love collide. The cartouche reads July, Reiwa 8. A record of our time, for your wall.

紫洛東斎(しらくとうさい)は、令和のニュースの一瞬を江戸の浮世絵として摺り直すネオ浮世絵プロジェクトです。本作「囚途残吻図が写すのは、連行される男と、それを見送る女の最後の一瞬。手錠と防弾ベストという現代の記号の中に、役者絵の男と美人画の女が交わす、時代を超えた情。落款には「令和八年七月」。この時代の記録として、あなたの壁に。
