Shiraku Tōsai is a Neo-Ukiyoe project that re-carves fleeting moments of modern Japan in the style of Edo woodblock prints.

Reverie in an Old Room is a bijin-ga for the present day: a woman in a track jacket and gold chains, at rest in a room where time has pooled — an old CRT television, stacked books, a worn patterned carpet. Her tilted gaze carries the quiet melancholy of Edo beauties, while everything around her belongs to a Shōwa room left untouched. The cartouche reads June, Reiwa 8. A record of our time, for your wall.

紫洛東斎(しらくとうさい)は、令和の一瞬を江戸の浮世絵として摺り直すネオ浮世絵プロジェクトです。本作《古室余情図》は、現代の美人画。ジャージに金の鎖という今の装いの女が、ブラウン管テレビと積まれた本、色褪せた絨毯——時の溜まった部屋に身を預けています。傾げた首筋に宿るのは、江戸の美人画そのままの物憂さ。落款には「令和八年六月」。この時代の記録として、あなたの壁に。
